The College continually updates and improves on its academic activities especially to maintain its image as the flagship of the University. Lecturers, students and graduands are constantly exposed to best practices in Medicine and Allied medical science practices through collaborations, exchange of students, attendance at national and international conferences and articulated research.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in 2013.
The College is also in collaborative partnership with the Asi Ukpo Diagnostic Medical Centre for the training of our students in the Post Graduate diploma and Masters degree programme in Radiography and Radiological Studies. The MoU was signed in 2014.
The College has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, England and the Department of Ophthalmology. This agreement is in line with the Vision 2020 Linkage programme which advocates for better eye care to patients in Africa. The alliance will help to build a long time partnership between the Hospital and the College and build a strong capacity eye care team which will actualize the 2020 vision.
The College has an existing relationship and a signed Memorandum of Understanding with the African Vision Research Institute (AVRI) an affiliated research organization of the University of Kwa Zulu-Natal in South Africa. The memorandum which was for a 3 – year period was signed in 2010.
